1.I was surprised about how bad FFXIII was received (as the author stated only people in Japan liked it, which is highly inaccurate, they seemed to have hated it too)
2.The sales of FFXIII-2 were very low compared to the original

Couldn't be more wrong.... FFXIII's reception world wide was a surprise...I don't like bringing sales up into a argument, but the sales figures of FFXIII-2 were more surprising.
I got banned for defending the objective in RUSH. I was playing sniper and i was constantly moving from spot to spot picking off the other team and killing any enemy that armed objective, and i would disarm the objective. I was banned simply for do the right thing.....punk ass admin

NIS is the perfect example of why developers stick to one IP and run it dry.
NIS tried to diversify the type of games they make and the platforms they supported. Here's the kicker....it put them in a financially bad state, so much in fact that they had to state that they had to release disgaea 4.
NIS also released ports of the disgaea and other srpg series to the psp/vita because that's what their fans wanted.

Funny you mention that FFX-2 prequal idea...as it's stated that how FFX-2 was originally intended....until Wada came into the picture.
Although there is little to basis to this claim...
It's not a stupid idea....well not to SE because they are as stupid you can possibly get.
